untitled
I work as a dog trainer in Boston, and have had several novels and many
poems published here in the US and in the UK.
There is more than one way to go down Vista.

Simmering

Frustration simmers like
The chili on the stove.
Another birthday days away
And still living in an apartment
Where the floor slants
like the deck of a ship in a storm.
Self made barriers lay in my way.
Laziness, depression, addiction.
With luck, I’ll boil over.

Cocoon

A white butterfly flutters passed
With the smell of impending rain,
Looking for shelter among the trees and leaves.
I lay in my cocoon, wondering when it will open,
But it won’t. I must break it open
Myself.
